Sangay is 9 years old and he is from the eastern part of Bhutan called Trashigang. His father is army in Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) and his mother is a housewife. He used to go to school and studied till class 3 before coming to Sangye Migyurling Monastery. He has one older brother, 2 older sisters and one younger brother. He says he is happy to become a monk at Sangye Migyurling Monastery and likes everything about the monastery. His aim is to become a Khenpo and teach younger monks.
